College Football Rankings: Way-too-early Top 25 projections for 2023
I’m old enough to remember when Florida State fans were in a complete meltdown over losing Travis Hunter to Jackson State and Deion Sanders. They wanted Mike Norvell on the hot seat for the disappointing start to his tenure followed by the Hunter flip, but man did he ever respond.
All the Seminoles did in 2022 after hot seat talk for Norvell was go 10-3 with a thrilling bowl win over Oklahoma.
And guess what? Jordan Travis is coming back next season to try and win his first conference title with the Seminoles after watching Clemson win the ACC again.
Florida State should begin the season as the top team in the ACC, trumping the Tigers, and a big reason for that is Travis. He passed for over 3,200 yards and was one of the best dual-threats in the nation this year.
Florida State has a really good team returning and the recruiting classes are getting better. The Seminoles might — just might — be back.
