College Football Rankings: Way-too-early Top 25 projections for 2023
Brian Kelly’s tenure at LSU got off to a disastrous start as the Tigers lost to Florida State in the season opener and he was getting trolled early on by local media members during his first press conference.
That bad feeling was short-lived, however, as the Tigers reeled off nine wins in their next 10 games to sit at 9-2 before a disappointing loss to Texas A&M in the season finale. They did make the SEC title game behind Arizona State quarterback transfer Jayden Daniels and he’ll be back next season leading the way. The Tigers should be back near the top of the SEC again next season.
Not only does LSU bring back its starting quarterback for next season, but it also has a top-five recruiting class coming in along with a really good group of transfers led by Zy Alexander, Jordan Jefferson, Denver Harris, Paris Shand, and Aaron Anderson.
Alabama will have its hands full trying to fend off an improve LSU team again next season in the SEC East.
