Arkansas football: 3 second-year players who’ll become stars in 2023
Quincey McAdoo came to Arkansas as a four-star wide receiver. He was expected to join the receiving corps and add some much-needed depth there.
But he made a position change early on and excelled.
McAdoo made a rather seamless transition to cornerback and had 30 tackles, a sack, four pass breakups, and two interceptions. He was one of the most consistent defensive backs on the team and he’s projected to be a starter in 2023. He’s already had a breakout, of sorts, so this is kind of a no-brainer choice, but I think he could be an all-conference type of cornerback for Arkansas.
The transition from receiver to cornerback in just one offseason leading up to his freshman season was impressive and his combination of size and raw talent make him an intriguing defensive back.
McAdoo is going to make life difficult on opposing SEC quarterbacks for years.
