Notre Dame football: Post-spring game-by-game predictions for 2023
Jeff Brohm is back at Louisville after spending years building Purdue up into a legitimate Big Ten West threat. Now that he’s back at his alma mater, he can focus on doing the same with the Cardinals who have been flirting with irrelevance in the ACC for years.
Gone is Malik Cunningham, but Jack Plummer is back with Brohm in Louisville and the offense should improve quite a bit.
I still think Louisville has a ton of rebuilding to do before they can win a game like this.
Prediction: Win (7-0)
Finally, we get to the game (outside of Ohio State) that every single Notre Dame fan is looking forward to at home. USC comes to town on Oct. 14 and this rivalry is going to be as intense as ever.
Caleb Williams is back at quarterback after winning the Heisman last year and the offense has only reloaded after losing Jordan Addison. I don’t think the Irish will be able to get a ton of stops against this high-powered offense and Sam Hartman, too, will have a big day.
This high-scoring affair will go the way of USC, however.
Prediction: Loss (7-1)
