No. 1 Sam Hartman and Notre Dame’s Offense

Notre Dame’s offense has been mediocre at best this season and they may struggle when they go to L&N Stadium this weekend. In the past 2 weeks when Notre Dame football has played good competition, they scored 14 and 21 points.

While Notre Dame is a really good football team, they will have to score more than just 14 points to beat Louisville. Louisville’s defense isn’t fantastic, but, if the Notre Dame offense continues to play stagnant Louisville may have the Fighting Irish’s number.

One of the biggest storylines for the weekend will be Sam Hartman’s return to Louisville. Last season Sam Hartman with Wake Forest threw 3 interceptions, had 3 fumbles, and only threw one touchdown against Louisville where the Cardinals won 48-21. It can’t be overshadowed how bad he played last year and it has to be on Hartman’s mind when he enters the stadium on Saturday. Hartman has thrown 14 touchdowns and 0 interceptions this season and Brohm and the Cardinals will likely be looking to force him into the same mistakes he made last year.

The Cardinals have the capability to win this football game, and based on how both teams have played this season so far and that the game is in L&N Stadium, Louisville should be in good shape. Louisville looks like they will win this football game, especially if they do these 3 things at 7:30 this Saturday night.
