College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 8
Arkansas gave Alabama a problem on Saturday afternoon, going into Tuscaloosa and nearly pulling off the upset of the Crimson Tide.
Although it was homecoming, this game wasn’t the stress-free win that it was supposed to be. The Tide had a 21-6 lead at halftime but they were only able to muster three points in the second half to hold on for a 24-21 win over the Razorbacks.
If you’re an Alabama fan, you can’t feel great about this win because the Tide didn’t exactly look dominant against an unranked visiting SEC foe that has struggled this year. The Alabama of years past would have won this game by three touchdowns. Maybe this team just isn’t as talented.
Jalen Milroe was inaccurate at 10-for-21 but he still had 238 yards and two touchdowns and the run game finished with 177 yards.
And the defense only allowed 250 total yards but still managed to play this one way too close.
Alabama survived and advanced, but we need to see more out of this team.
