College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 9
A rivalry game awaited Michigan in Week 8 as the Wolverines went to East Lansing looking for their second straight win over the Spartans.
Well, it didn’t take long for Michigan to secure that victory.
In fact, the Wolverines dominated from start to finish, taking a 28-0 lead into the half over the Spartans. No one really expected this game to be close, but all hope for a good game was crushed in the first 30 minutes as Michigan was able to do whatever it wanted against Michigan State.
Was this more of the Spartans being in complete turmoil after moving on from Mel Tucker amidst a scandal or are the Wolverines just that good? I think it’s a combination.
Michigan is very good this season and JJ McCarthy had himself quite the game. But this team still has to prove that it can beat a good team.
I think we’ll see Michigan drop a spot after Ohio State beat the nation’s No. 7 team rather handily.
Do I think Michigan should drop? No, but AP voters may disagree.
