6. Kansas (5-2, 2-2 conference)

Kansas had a bye this week, which was what they needed after coming off a loss to Oklahoma State. Quarterback Jason Bean has been playing well in place for injured Jalon Daniels, with 9 touchdowns on the year to only interceptions. They now have a big home game this week against undefeated Oklahoma for Big Noon Kickoff.

5. Iowa State (4-3, 3-1 conference)

Iowa State also had a bye this week, and they have been playing well so far this season. Their 3 losses come to in-state rival Iowa, undefeated Oklahoma, and the odd one out to Ohio. They had a statement win against Oklahoma State to kick off their Big 12 conference schedule. Quarterback Rocco Becht has effectively run the offense, throwing for 1,464 yards and 12 touchdowns. Look for Iowa State to have another big game against a bumbling Baylor Bears team in Waco.

4. Oklahoma State (5-2, 3-1 conference)

Oklahoma State seems to have found its identity in an electric running game. In the last two games, the Cowboys have run for 499 yards and six touchdowns. Sophomore running back Ollie Gordon II has been outstanding, carrying his team on his back in the 4th quarter against West Virginia with 149 yards and 3 touchdowns. With its newfound identity, the Cowboys still have a chance in the Big 12. They face Cincinnati on Saturday night at home.
