College Football Rankings 2023: Projected playoff Top 25 for Week 10

What a perfect win to secure before heading into a bye week. Alabama came back to beat rival Tennessee in Week 8 at home before getting Week 9 off ahead of the first playoff rankings. This was a nice statement to show the committee before getting a much-needed refresh week.

Like the AP Top 25, I think Alabama will be in the top 10 of the first playoff rankings after winning six straight games and seemingly getting better each week since the loss to Texas.

Over the past month-plus, the Crimson Tide have wins at Mississippi State and Texas A&M as well as two-touchdown wins over No. 15 Ole Miss and No. 17 Tennessee. Not too shabby of a resume for a borderline top-10 team.

Will the committee give Alabama more love than the AP Top 25? Potentially because this team has been a staple of the playoff since its induction.

I could see Alabama getting a spot or two rise in the playoff rankings compared to the Week 10 AP Top 25.
