Man, what a game this was. Washington hosted a Utah team without Cam Rising (still). The veteran quarterback is out for the season and Bryson Barnes was starting in his place and he actually did a solid job.
No one really expected this game to be all that close, but the Huskies were able to come back in the second half and hold on for a one-touchdown win despite turning the ball over after what should have been a pick-six. Washington could have put the game on ice, but the defender dropped the ball two yards too soon on a potential pick-six and it was recovered by Utah.
Michael Penix played well again and threw a clutch game-winning touchdown in the second half and he should stay atop the Heisman power rankings this week.
The Huskies add a ranked win to the resume and make that “should they be No. 4?” conversation even more interesting.
