College Football Lines: Vegas Bets Week 6

After posting a 1-2 record for each of the season’s first four weeks, I broke through last Saturday with a 2-1 mark. Let’s build some momentum here.

Michigan State at Iowa PICK

I’m not suggesting you watch this game, as it likely won’t be pretty (this game has by far the lower over/under of the weekend). But the Hawkeyes showed me enough last week against Minnesota—and last year in East Lansing—to think they have the slight edge in this one.

Maryland +15 at Florida State

Are the Terps the real deal? We’ll find out on Saturday, but the bet here is that they can at least hang with the ’Noles. Florida State needed a hail mary as time expired to take the lead at the half against Boston College last week. Another slow start could mean a game decided in the fourth quarter.

Washington at Stanford -8.5

I’ve had Stanford the past two weeks, so I’m staying on board even against a strong Washington squad. I believe Stanford can reach the national championship, so I’ll take my chances with the single-digit point spread here.
