This will most likely be Marcus Mariota’s final season with the Oregon Ducks.

Although he has another year of eligibility, he is expected to be a high first round pick. The Oregon Ducks have been stock piling quarterbacks the last two years and this week, they landed a commitment from a big time 2016 prospect in 4-Star quarterback Seth Green.

The 6’3, 210-pound Green is from Saint Paul, Minnesota where he attends East Ridge High School. He is ranked as the country’s eighth-best dual threat quarterback prospect, the top-overall player from the state of Minnesota and the 182nd-best overall prospect in the class of 2016 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Green was offered by the Oregon Ducks in July and visited in September. He soon named the Ducks his leader so his commitment wasn’t much of a surprise. He should prove to be a good fit in the Oregon system.

Green also holds offers from the Illinois Illini, Iowa Hawkeyes, Louisville Cardinals and Michigan State Spartans, among others. The hometown Minnesota Golden Gophers were thought to be Green’s second choice.

Green is the Oregon Ducks’ second commitment in 2016, joining 4-Star safety Brady Breeze.
