The Oregon Ducks had the greatest Hawaiian product on their roster the last four years in Marcus Mariota so it only makes sense they scheduled a series with Hawaii in the coming years.

Oregon and Hawaii scheduled a three-game series over the next 10 years with the Ducks hosting the Rainbow Warriors in Eugene in 2020 and 2023 and the Ducks visiting Aloha Stadium in 2024, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The two teams last met in 1994 with Hawaii coming away victorious. In fact, the Rainbow Warriors have won the last three meetings against the Ducks, winning in 1992 and 1988, but Oregon holds a 4-3 lead in the all-time series.

Hawaii has been good to Oregon in recent years with Mariota the best player in program history. He became the first player in program history to take home the Heisman Trophy in 2014 and helped lead the Ducks to the College Football National Championship Game.

Oregon had five other players on the 2014 roster that hailed from Hawaii in addition to Mariota who is a candidate to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Further, the Ducks hauled in three players in their 2015 recruiting class, including Canton Kaumatule from Punahou high school in Honolulu.

The 6-7, 290-pound defensive end was the nation’s No. 16 overall recruit, No. 3 strong-side defensive end and the top recruit in the state of Hawaii, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
