The Georgia Bulldogs extended an offer to elite in-state product Shaun Smith.
Things have picked up on the recruiting trail as many teams are continuing to offer players, searching for future talent. The Georgia Bulldogs are no exception as on Friday, they offered 2017 four-star athlete Shaun Smith during his visit per Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.com.

He has been eyed by several teams and has received offers from the Auburn Tigers and Florida Gators respectively. Both offers came within about a week of each other (December 2 and 10) of last year.
Smith is the No. 112 player overall, No. 16 athlete and the No.13 overall player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He also holds offers from Auburn and Florida.
A commitment from Smith would allow the Bulldogs to fill some holes. They could have the option to continue the youth movement in the Bulldog secondary with the graduation of Devin Bowman and Kennar Daniels-Johnson. The Bulldogs have Aaron Davis and Reggie Wilkerson, both of whom are redshirt sophomores at the position so this could help with depth on the current roster.
At 6-0, 165 pounds, Smith is not the biggest but he should be able to make an impact on a team rather quickly.
Currently, the Bulldogs have no one committed to the 2017 class as they look to continue to carry the momentum from their 2016 group, a class ranked eighth nationally and fourth in the SEC as it totes two five-star commits, two four-star commits and three three-star commits.
It will be interesting to see where Smith lands and if this latest Georgia offer will create a domino effect as recruiting season carries on.
