Dioubate is the No. 150 player in his class, the No. 16 defensive tackle, and the No. 4 overall player in the state of Pennsylvania per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He was highly valued by many teams across the country, notching 25 offers in total. He was recruited to Penn State by co-recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach Josh Gattis as well as defensive line coach Sean Spencer.

After being offered by the Lions on November 6 of last year, he took a visit to Happy Valley a few weeks later on November 29. This year, he took a visit to the campus on March 20 and again on the 28. Gattis and Spencer visited him on April 22, Penn State’s last bit of recruitment before Dioubate committed today.

With this commitment, the Lions add another potential cornerstone to an already loaded 2016 class. With 10 four-star commits, the class ranks No. 4 nationally and No. 2 in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Rankings. Dioubate is the fourth in-state commitment of the class.

Penn State got a gem in Dioubate. As soon as the ball is snapped, he explodes out of his stance and overpowers his man to get to the quarterback. He is also very quick as he pursues the ball carrier and wraps up efficiently and effectively to make the tackle. Ranking No. 41 overall in sacks last year, (31 in total)  this commitment should help the program improve on that mark and strengthen their defensive core for the foreseeable future.
