Lee Corso’s College GameDay headgear pick: Texas A&M vs Alabama

The GameDay team heads down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for a top 10 showdown between No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 1 Alabama. Both teams come into the game undefeated and will be looking to remain undefeated when its all over. Alabama is tied with Florida for the most appearances on college GameDay with 37 appearances.

Alabama has hosted GameDay more than any other school. They have hosted it 16 times. This top 10 matchup is sure to be a huge game. If Texas A&M could pull the upset, they college football playoff would be wide open for a lot of teams.

The last time that Texas A&M beat Alabama, Johnny Manziel was their QB and he was creating magic all over the football field. Trevor Knight now quarterbacks the Aggies offense and he too has a win over the Crimson Tide. In the 2014 Sugar Bowl, Oklahoma beat Alabama 45-31.

Trevor Knight was the QB that day for Oklahoma. He threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns against Alabama. A.J McCarron was the QB for Alabama and he did not have a good game. He threw two picks and ended with a QBR of 32.8. That was McCarrons last game as the QB for the Crimson Tide. Alabama now has Jalen Hurts who is multi dimensional.

They will need a great game from Hurts if they are to stay undefeated. Both teams have massive offensive attacks. Defensively that are both solid, but Alabama’s defense is better. Texas A&M will have to find a way to make it easy for themselves to move the ball down the field.

After having the down year that he had last year, Lee Corso is on fire with his picks this year. Corso is 5-2 and is enjoying a bit of a winning streak. Corso has picked Texas A&M this year and he picked correctly. He took the Aggies over Tennessee and the Aggies had his back.

If you know anything about college football, you know that picking against Alabama is something you just don’t do. If I had to guess, I would say that Corso will be putting the Elephant head on today.  Texas A&M is a very interesting upset pick though. They should hang around for a while. Will Corso go with the upset or will he pick Big Al? He has picked Alabama and Big Al more than any over school.

Alabama is by far the safe pick, but Texas A&M is having a great season as well. The Aggies will definitely be looking to ruin the day for Alabama.
