Notre Dame football as they look to straighten things out in a Week 4 matchup at Wake Forest. Can the Irish stay perfect against the Demon Deacons?

Notre Dame currently sits at 3-0 after three consecutive home games against Michigan, Ball State, and Vanderbilt. However, one might not come to the conclusion of a 3-0 record when considering the Irish’s offensive statistics so far. As of Notre Dame’s 22-17 victory over Vanderbilt, the Irish are in an eight-team tie for 115th in the nation in passing touchdowns per game.

While that’s to be expected with Brandon Wimbush under center, what is even more concerning is that the Irish currently sit at 66th in the nation in rushing scores per game, with Wimbush averaging less than three yards per carry. With the run game serving as the team’s bread and butter throughout 2017, the lack of offensive productivity here is concerning.

Granted there are still a few kinks to iron out, the Irish best right the ship soon as a matchup with No. 7 Stanford looms. As for now, here are three bold predictions for the Irish as they head into their second consecutive matchup with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
