Utah football dismantled Arizona on Friday night in Salt Lake City. What did we learn about both the Utes and the Wildcats after the Week 7 blowout?

It has been an up-and-down season for Kevin Sumlin in his first season as the head coach in Tucson. Arizona actually entered their Friday night showdown against Utah in Salt Lake City with a better Pac-12 record than the hosts.

It certainly didn’t look like it, though, as Utah crushed the Wildcats in a runaway 42-10 victory in #Pac12AfterDark action. Well after the sun had cast its final rays over Rice-Eccles Stadium, Utah continued to light things up against their visitors. Still scoring deep into the fourth quarter with their second- and third-string talent, Utah proved themselves the superior of Arizona’s work in progress.

After earning a statement win over Stanford in Week 6, Utah earned themselves a second straight conference victory and the first in divisional play. With their toughest parts of their interdivisional swing already out of the way, Utah appears poised to make waves in the Pac-12 race this year.

What did we learn about these two teams as Arizona fell flat against Utah on Friday night? Keep reading for three takeaways from the mismatch in the Wasatch as Utah claimed another resounding victory over the Wildcats.
