Mississippi State football recorded a big win against Kentucky by a score of 28-13 in Week 4. What did we learn from Week 4?

Mississippi State got a big win against Kentucky, especially coming off a loss to Kansas State last week. Mississippi State was able to get a win with good defense and good play by their true freshman quarterback Garrett Shrader.

Kentucky will look to bounce back in their next game while Mississippi State will look to build on their win.

What’d we learn from Mississippi State’s win?

3. Kylin Hill had another big game for the Bulldogs

Kylin Hill has had big game after big game for the Bulldogs and was a big reason why the Bulldogs got a win against sec foe Kentucky today. He not only led the team in touchdowns today, but mimicked his teammate’s play from Shrader last week as he went flying into the end-zone for one of his touchdowns.

Hill ended up having 120 yards on the ground with three rushing touchdowns on 26 carries. True freshman quarterback Shrader had a good game passing as well, largely due to Hill’s ability to run on the ground that helped open up the passing attack.

Mississippi State will continue to rely on Hill as they will need him to make a run in the SEC West if they want to upset some teams. No other running back on the team had a yard today as they kept feeding Hill play after play.
