Florida Gators Fans Use Georgia Newspaper to Taunt Bulldogs Fans
By Kyle Kensing
Via CBS Sports sideline reporter extraordinaire Tracy Wolfson, some Florida fans have taken to an independent Georgia newspaper to taunt the Bulldogs’ faithful.
The advertisement, which features a Gator giving a Georgia Bulldog the hammerlock, also has “advance” quotes mocking Mark Richt. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is one of the more heated rivalries in all college football, and has had plenty of great taunting moments. Georgia’s entire team congregating in the end zone for a touchdown celebration is a defining moment in the series’ more recent years.
One has to appreciate the lengths to which fans will go to taunt one another — in legal, good nature of course. Tree poisoning and tea-bagging, not so cool. This, however, is top notch. Georgia fans still have time to respond, much like Arizona State last week in painting its A black, after Oregon faithful went green on it.
No retaliation would be more fulfilling for Bulldog fans, players and coaches alike than to win and spoil the Gators’ perfect record and SEC championship hopes.
