Another day, another round of college football uniform alterations are revealed.
Thursday’s notables include a red Wisconsin helmet, debuting Sept. 7 against Tennessee Tech. This helmet is essentially a negative of the Badgers’ usual white domes.

The Badgers donned red helmets for the first time since 1969 last season, when adidas commissioned Letter People-inspired jerseys for Wisconsin and Nebraska in their Sept. 29 meeting.
Thursday’s other alternate uniform reveal also comes from The Brand With Three Stripes, and is for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. They will sport jerseys with gold numbers and letters and the phrase HAIL STATE for their Egg Bowl tilt against rival Ole Miss.

MSU has not been shy about tinkering with its uniforms. Last year, the Bulldogs commemorated their first meeting with Texas A&M since the 2000 Independence Bowl by sporting all-white “Snow Bowl” duds.
Photos surfaced in June of a pink Mississippi State jersey with white-and-silver Zubaz-style pants.
