The loss of quarterback Everett Golson cast more doubt on Notre Dame’s 2013 outlook than anything else that transpired this offseason. Senior quarterback Tommy Rees was named the Fighting Irish starter early in the summer, and at least initially, he validated Brian Kelly’s vote of confidence.
