The best news for the Horned Frogs is who is back in the kicking game. Junior punter Ethan Perry was used a lot last year, 80 times to be exact, and he averaged over 40 yards per punt and nailed 29 punts inside the 20 yard line while having 33 punts fair caught. As the offense still will have some flaws, Perry will be needed again this year, and he’s proven himself to be reliable.

Junior kicker Jaden Oberkrom is also back, and if you want to talk about near perfection, here’s where you look. Oberkrom was perfect on extra points and went a perfect 10 for 10 on kicks under 40 yards. I could stop there and he would be confirmed for exactly what you need in a college kicker. Oberkrom was also 4 for 8 on kicks 40 yards and beyond, and 3 of those misses were from 50 yards and beyond. Overall, he was 13 of 14 on kicks up to 49 yards. For the final nail in how good this guy is, he did make a kick beyond 50 yards, at 56 yards! This means the leg strength and accuracy are all there, and if he shows any improvement whatsoever, it’ll make him the best kicker in college football. That’s a valuable weapon to have, especially on a team trying to return to winning. Continue to Next Slide for Final Analysis and Prediction
