    • Playing in the Big Ten West will allow him to continue to build on his success, at least for now. There are lots of returning starters on offense and enough stability everywhere else for this to be a good team. Unfortunately, Michigan and Ohio State are the draws from the West.

    Still, Purdue, Illinois, and Northwestern at home are wins, there are at least 3 out of conference wins, and then there is Iowa at home and TCU on the road, both of which could be wins. That would make for another 8-win season and possibly after a bowl win.

    It likely won’t happen, though. I’m sticking with Iowa at No. 3 and Minnesota at No. 4.
