Big Ten Preseason Rankings: Michigan State Spartans Again?
Big Ten West
1. Wisconsin Badgers
Is this really a shock to anyone? One of the best programs in college football that always appears to reload with unheralded recruits is the king of the Big Ten West. Bret Bielema’s departure shouldn’t change that.

A team that went 9-3 in the regular season last year and should have gone 10-2 (they were robbed by Arizona State) now has a very easy road through the Big Ten because of how weak the west is. Even by those standards, the Badgers have a very friendly schedule.
Rutgers and Maryland are the draws from the east, and although Maryland is pretty good, that game is in Madison. Nebraska, who would be good enough to win the west based on talent, has to travel to Madison. The only major questionable game is at Iowa, but Wisconsin is good enough to when that.
The Badgers go 10-2 this year and meet Michigan State in the Big Ten championship.
