The Big Ten made a great first impression Thursday night, with a blowout win by Minnesota and a stunning upset over Washington State by Rutgers. That Rutgers win is huge from a morale standpoint of the conference, which has struggled in recent years against other Power Five teams.

Although Rutgers is a new team, they have been predicted to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten this year, so a win over a middle of the road Pac 12 team is a great start.
The rest of the weekend has quite a few intriguing games.
