Vegas Big 12 Predictions

No. 20 Kansas State at Iowa State

Line: Kansas State by 12

At least we get a conference game out of this weekend. The Kansas State Wildcats had a very good game last week, albeit against Stephen F. Austin, showing their ability to throw the ball and utilize the depth in their rushing game. Both things will be very important as they go through the season. Efficiency was the mark for the offense last week, as no individual racked up insanely impressive stats, but the collective group had 478 yards of offense.

This week’s match-up against Iowa State features a team that lost to FCS North Dakota State last week, although to be fair this might be the best FCS team out there. Still, losing by 20 was not a good look when you’re trying to sell an improving program. Iowa State definitely wants to get back on track, and that starts with having somewhat of a competent defense and simply a better offense. The offense will be what has to win this game, as the defense is awful.

Prediction

Kansas State will have a game similar to what it had last week. The Cyclones won’t threaten the Wildcats that much, and this game will be in the bag by the second half.
