Big Ten Power Rankings Week 2: Does Anybody Belong at No. 1?
Saturday Blitz Big Ten Power Rankings Week 2
10. Indiana Hoosiers 1-0 (0-0), Idle Last Week
The Indiana Hoosiers appeared to take one major step against Indiana State last week that they never seemed to have last year: defense. That’s a big deal for head coach Kevin Wilson as they finally try to get over the hump and reach a bowl game in his fourth year at the helm.
However, only winning 28-10 against Indiana State wasn’t impressive. And this team has a lot to work on as it travels to Bowling Green Saturday. As of right now, the Hoosiers are ahead of the bottom three teams because they have managed to not lose to or struggle against a MAC team, and they didn’t look absolutely pathetic playing Notre Dame.
Still, that could change easily this Saturday. The one benefit of the doubt the Hoosiers deserve is they are playing Bowling Green on the road, and the Falcons are not as bad as everybody might think. Losing to them would not compare in any way to losing to Central Michigan and struggling with Western Michigan.
That is why the Hoosiers are at No. 10 for now.
