Saturday Blitz Big 12 Power Rankings Week 4

10. Kansas Jayhawks, 2-1 (0-0), Defeated Central Michigan 24-10 Last Saturday

The Jayhawks actually have a winning record right now, but it’s fool’s gold. This team has shown nothing to hint that it might be better than anybody else in the Big 12, even those teams that have losing records in the conference.

Last week’s win against Central Michigan was only a 24-10 victory, which was not that impressive either, and their first win was a34-28 win against Southeast Missouri State. Are we supposed to be excited about this 2-1 record with those two win?

The loss to Duke was bad enough to show that Kansas doesn’t belong on the same field with many other Power Five teams, and we still maintain that Charlie Weis is in serious trouble. This team is 110th in the country in points scored with barely more than 20 a game and 83rd in points allowed. That low points per game average comes with somebody who is supposed to be an offensive genius at the helm. This is simply not a good team.
