Saturday Blitz Pac 12 Power Rankings Week 4

3. Arizona State Sun Devils, 3-0 (1-0), Idle Last Saturday

Arizona State may be without Taylor Kelly for a while, and that could spell trouble, but this is still a good team. Mike Bercovici is simply going to have to step up, and the Sun Devils coaching staff appears to have lots of confidence in him. Based on how the team has played so far, we have to put confidence in him as well for right now, and we can’t let the injury to Kelly change how we view the way the team played its first three games.

And come on, we know what the catalyst has been for the Sun Devils so far this season in a very surprising way: a dominant running game. D.J. Foster has looked like a superstar through three games after averaging 170 rushing yards per game and nearly 50 receiving yards per game. He has 6 total touchdowns on the season, and if ASU continues to use him, there’s no reason to think they should be lower on this list.

An exciting Thursday night game against UCLA will really show where this team stands, as it’s a battle between to of the Pac 12’s best and possibly a game to decide the Pac 12 South. The Sun Devils could move up or drop down this list very quickly.
