Saturday Blitz Big Ten Power Rankings Week 5

13. Michigan Wolverines, 2-3 (0-1), Lost to Minnesota Golden Gophers 30-14 Last Saturday

Things are looking bad in Ann Arbor. Not only is Brady Hoke on the hot seat, but Athletic Director Dave Brandon is under fire for the entire coaching and administrative staff mishandling an injury to quarterback Shane Morris. In short, the fans want everybody gone. And they have a good reason to feel that way.

The situation looks terrible in Michigan, Brandon should not be holding onto Hoke and giving him a chance to keep his job. He should have seen enough to know by now that Hoke won’t last long-term, and firing him now gives the school a jump-start on finding a new coach. This team’s offense is absolutely pathetic right now, averaging only 22 points per game. And it starts with a terrible passing game that doesn’t look like it will be solved any time soon.

The schedule only gets worse as well, with road games against Rutgers, Michigan State, and Ohio State coming up as well. This season could become more disastrous than it already has been for the Wolverines, and Brandon has got to right the ship.
