Blitz Points: Week 6 College Football Top Performers
Saturday Blitz Week 6 Blitz Points Winners
11. Dak Prescott, Quarterback, Mississippi State Bulldogs (Defeated Texas A&M Aggies 48-31 Saturday)
19 of 25 for 259 Yards and 2 Touchdowns, 23 Carries for 77 Yards and 3 Touchdowns
Let’s go ahead and let Dak Prescott choose a spot here, because it appears he’s a full-time tenant. Every time Mississippi State has a big game, Prescott comes up at his best. In Saturday’s game, as the Bulldogs destroyed Texas A&M from start to finish, he did it again in incredibly impressive fashion.
With 5 total touchdowns and 336 total yards in a huge SEC West game forget talking about being a great quarterback or if he’s legitimate. Prescott belongs in the Heisman conversation now, and there’s no reason to sleep on him. This is the second time in two games that he has come up big when his team was the underdog against an SEC team that was thinking about a national championship. It’s time t0 give credit where credit is due.
Tim Tebow was the superstar of college football when he was running this Dan Mullen offense at Florida. Prescott is actually doing a better job of it, with 13 passing touchdowns and 6 rushing touchdowns already on the season. He vaulted himself into one of the Heisman frontrunners with Saturday’s incredible performance. We can’t ignore that anymore.
Prescott is back in our Blitz Points winners category, and he seems to do that on the regular. Let’s acknowledge his greatness for that.
