Saturday Blitz Week 6 Pac 12 Power Rankings

Just when you were ready to write off the Utah Utes after a 28-27 loss to Washington State, they respond with a road victory against UCLA. This team is legit, and nobody can say otherwise. They are finally in the process of proving themselves.

The Utes almost lost the same way they lost to the Cougars, though. They blew a lead in the fourth to go down 28-27 both games. But this time, Utah responded, using its incredible rushing attack to go down the field and set up the game-winning field goal. Devontae Booker is a superstar in the Pac 12, and Travis Wilson or Kendal Thompson, whomever is quarterbacking, is exactly what this team needs. They make accurate throws when needed and can beat you through the air, and they both provide an incredible rushing attack. That combined with decent defense makes this another team unlike everybody else in the Pac 12.

And that could bode well for the rest of the season. The Utes can’t take a break, with a road game against Oregon State, USC at home, then Arizona State, Oregon, Stanford, and Arizona down the road. But this is clearly a good team that we can’t sleep on anymore.

The Utes are a good team and have finally proven themselves in Power Five play. They have earned their No. 3 spot in the Pac 12.
