Saturday Blitz Week 6 Pac 12 Power Rankings

After an incredibly unlucky break against Arizona two weeks ago, Cal has reversed its fortune. The Golden Bears pulled out a two-overtime victory against Colorado and then a 1-point comeback victory against Washington State in two thrilling shootouts, making this team not only better than we thought, but incredibly exciting to watch.

The Golden Bears are out Mike Leaching Mike Leach with Jared Goff at quarterback. Goff has 22 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on the year along with 398 yards per game. That’s not 523 yards, but it’s securing a lot of victories for the Golden Bears right now. The defense may be giving up more than 40 points a game, but who cares when the offense is scoring 50 points per game? This team will be exciting to watch at the very least through the next few weeks.

But keeping this up will be as hard for these guys as it is for the other below them. Washington, UCLA, and Oregon are all up next, and Oregon State and USC are on the road before the season closes out against Stanford and BYU at home. BYU at home and Oregon State on the road would probably be the only game left on the schedule they have a chance to be favored in.

So the celebration for this team is very premature, although it’s much better than it was last year.
