Saturday Blitz Blitz Points Winners Week 7
USC has an offensive superstar. His name is Javorius Allen. While Leonard Williams was the star who stepped up all night for the Trojans’ defense, this junior running back from Florida was the star, and the only star, for the offense.
Allen was the anchor for an offense that was able to win the time of possession battle against a great Arizona rushing team, and with 205 yards and 3 touchdowns, he really was the only thing that kept USC scoring. Cody Kessler was decent, but not spectacular. Allen was the one that had to carry the offense, and he did a darn good job of doing it. It was his play that built the Trojans a 28-13 lead, and Arizona got a major stop in the fourth quarter because Steve Sarkisian inexplicably allowed Allen to touch the ball only once when USC had a drive going with a 28-20 lead.
Allen was the superstar all night, and when you consider what this Arizona defensive line did to the high-powered Oregon offense the week before, it makes his play that much more impressive. USC should thank him as much as Williams for that win.
