Saturday Blitz Pac 12 Power Rankings Week 7

With the way the rest of the Pac-12 unfolded again on Saturday, there was no way that we could ignore putting Arizona in the top spot as the only 1-loss team who beat Oregon. Add to it the fact that USC needed what looked like two blocked field goals, and this looks like a team that was definitely good enough  to win easily on Saturday and just blew it.

Arizona is still loaded with Terris Jones-Grigsby, Nick Wilson, Cayleb Jones, and Anu Solomon. They have come through time and time again, and with everybody having a loss, we’re not going to let a couple of unlucky plays hold back a particular 1-loss team with the best quality win of anybody in the conference. The Wildcats and the defense are too good for that, so we are sticking with them as the top team in the conference despite a bad loss.

And it won’t take too long for us to figure out if our rankings are right. Yes, Washington State and Colorado are two of the next three games, but UCLA is still on the slate, and Washington, Utah, and Arizona State are still down the line. So this team can’t panic after one loss because it has plenty of chances to go back out and prove itself.

Until these guys suggest otherwise due to lack of production, we have no choice but to put the Arizona Wildcats atop the Week 7 Pac-12 Power Rankings. Congratulations Arizona. You deserve it for now.
