Saturday Blitz SEC Power Rankings Week 8

After not playing last week, we are obviously not going to give any credit to the Vanderbilt Commodores and have no reason to move Derek Mason’s team out of last place in the SEC. This team deserves no respect right now and literally celebrated a win against Charleston Southern. It was almost worth laughing over.

The Commodores still have the worst offense in maybe the country, and this thin defense is already short on talent, so adjusting to this 3-4 scheme has made this year even more difficult. It may bode well for Mason’s future in Vanderbilt if fans, the few that exist, stay patient. But for this year, at least, this is a terrible team. And the SEC schedule won’t help that.

With Missouri, Florida, and Mississippi State on the schedule still, 8 losses is easy to see. You can see 9 with Tennessee, although that game looks like it could be a toss-up at this point. Still, this is a bad team with absolutely no hope for this year. It’s easy for everybody to see that there is nothing to praise about these guys.

That’s why we have them last in our power rankings.
