Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction:

Oklahoma Sooners

While it’s true that Bob Stoops’s Oklahoma Sooners have 2 Big 12 losses, they aren’t out of the race just yet. There are still some signs of encouragement from the loss two weeks ago, including Trevor Knight not looking like a complete scrub against Kansas State.

If Knight can avoid looking pathetic for 60 minutes, the Sooners still have a chance to get back in the Big 12 and College Football Playoff hunt with some help. They have to be aware of that and won’t let themselves slip up against Iowa State.

Coming off of a bye week, Oklahoma’s tough defense is going to shut down Iowa State’s inconsistent offense, and this is the type of game where Knight can look like a superstar against the pathetic Cyclones defense. Expect Samaje Perine to rack up 150 yards at least and another 300-yard performance from Knight that makes us all overhype him.

Oklahoma may get caught off guard a bit because Iowa State has proven to be decent at home, but the Sooners will get on a roll in the second half and never let up. They win comfortably.
