Nick Marshall, Quarterback, Auburn Tigers- 15 of 22 for 254 Yards & 2 Touchdowns; 10 Carries for 50 Yards and 2 Touchdowns (Defeated Ole Miss Rebels 35-31)

Auburn was successful in putting on a very dirty hit at the end of the game to win for Ole Miss, but it doesn’t change what Nick Marshall did for the football team. Throwing  for 254 Yards and rushing for another 50 yards is incredibly impressive against a defense as loaded as the Rebels.

Against any team, if you had said this year’s version of the Ole Miss Rebels would score 31 points, they would be considered a lock to win. Nick Marshall made sure that wasn’t the case for Auburn. Sure, Cameron Artis-Payne and Sammie Coates picked up their stats, but it was Marshall leading the way to victory. And we can’t ignore that in the grand scheme of things.

Auburn has now put Alabama back in control of its own destiny, ironically, to win the SEC, but the Tigers have a great chance at it as well. Going forward, this team could easily go back to the SEC championship game.

But the win against Ole Miss goes strictly to Nick Marshall, who did his part in a big upset win against a great defense. For that, he is a Blitz Points winner.
