And just like clockwork, with high expectations starting the Georgia Bulldogs straight in the eye, they went out and laid an egg in the most pathetic way against the Florida Gators to end their hopes at a national championship and lose their lead in the SEC. This seems to happen all the time.

But we’re not going to drop this team in the SEC yet. We can’t put Florida ahead of them, even with the win, and the blowout over Missouri is still too fresh in our minds. Georgia’s defense, especially the front seven, has serious issues to work out if this team is going to turn the season around, but at least we know what to expect from the offense. Hutson Mason is efficient, the running game is strong, and it could be even better when Todd Gurley comes back. So the offense is fine. Defense needs work.

And that work needs to be done fast. With Kentucky, Auburn, and Georgia Tech still on the schedule, this season could turn South Carolina-level disastrous if things don’t get fixed.
