Kentucky Wildcats 5-4 (2-4)

Last week: Lost to Missouri Tigers 20-10
Last rank: 11

Mark Stoops’s Kentucky Wildcats are finally starting to wake up, as we figured they would. The win against South Carolina is still nice, and making it to 5-4 still exceeds expectations at this point. But there’s not much more we expected from this team.

Patrick Towles and the offense can be very tough at home, and the defense is still decent, but it’s still Kentucky. One decent recruiting class won’t get you anywhere in SEC play, so nobody should be surprised that they lost their past two games and could easily lose their final three games. Missouri was the one game this team had to win to avoid getting too close to missing a bowl after such a great start. But the offense didn’t show up.

Now, Tennessee has to be the game they win. Otherwise, the Wildcats have to find some way to upset Georgia or Louisville on the road. Who sees either of those things happening?
