Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Duke Wins 23-6

Honestly, with Duke consistently squeaking out victories, we can understand why the oddsmakers have made them only a 3.5-favorite against one of the worst teams in the ACC.

But to be fair, all three of their close wins were agains good teams. This isn’t a good team they are playing. It’s one of the worst teams.

And despite last week’s performance, Duke’s defense has shown an ability to absolutely feast on mediocre to bad offenses, and Syracuse has a terrible offense. So with that taken into account, we fully expect Duke to have no trouble coming away with a victory on the road playing like the well-coached David Cutcliffe team that they are.

Anthony Boone and Jamison Crowder will connect on a big play or two, and they will run the ball effectively throughout the day without any turnovers. That will make this a very comfortable win, as Syracuse’s offense will not be able to get anything going at all in the Carrier Dome.

Duke maintains its lead in the ACC Coastal and improves its record to 8-1 with a very easy win. This game will be boring.
