Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Prediction: Georgia Wins 30-24

You saw that score right. We are going with the Georgia Bulldogs but in a really close match-up. Patrick Towles has shown an ability to feed off the Kentucky home crowd, and don’t forget about how they played Mississippi State very close two weeks ago in Lexington. We believe the same thing will happen here.

The Dawgs obviously managed to choke away another game when they had everything to play for against Florida last week. Now, with the national title pressure off, there’s a chance they could give up, but we’re betting on them to try to keep winning with a chance to win the SEC East. Kentucky still has a suspect defense, and Towles can be very inconsistent.

And while Mississippi State is far better than Georgia, Georgia does have a better defense, so it will force Towles to make too many mistakes for this team to get the win at home.

Even so, Kentucky has a good enough defense and good enough coaching under Mark Stoops to keep this close for a while. Georgia pulls this game out late.
