team. 105. And just like that, the Oregon Ducks are back in the race for the College Football Playoff easily. So why did we bump them to No. 2 after thrashing a ranked Pac-12 opponent?Because that thrashing was helped by a fluke play in which they recovered a fumble and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. That completely changed the game against Utah, and we’re nog going to give Oregon too much credit for that. <p>But don’t freak out. This team controls its own destiny still to accomplish everything it wants to accomplish. Marcus Mariota is turning into a serious superstar for the Ducks, and the defense has been pretty darn good as well. What really sticks out, though, is that the Ducks have been able to play a physical brand of football up front, something we never saw in the past.</p> <p>The best part about this team is its two easiest games, Colorado and Oregon State, are the last two of the season.
