Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Predictions: Clemson Wins 31-20

Georgia Tech honestly was going to be the pick earlier this week. The Clemson offense has been very inconsistent with Cole Stoudt at quarterback and was struggling as a team, despite being on a roll, over the past few weeks.

But Deshaun Watson is back in the lineup to replace Stoudt. That fact alone is enough for us to believe that Clemson’s offense is going to get back on track and have a pretty good day against the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech is doing a great job with its triple-option offense this year, and the passing element that Justin Thomas has been able to add has allowed Paul Johnson to do more things with it.

But it’s not going to be enough Saturday.

Dabo Swinney’s Tigers are just too talented on both sides of the football, and the explosive offense will just about knock the Yellow Jackets out of ACC Coastal contention permanently. Clemson struggles in the early going but gets into a rhythm by the start of the second quarter.

After that, they will cruise to a pretty easy victory to keep its hopes for one of the New Year’s Six alive.
