Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten: Notre Dame Wins 41-17

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish may not be nearly as good as we thought they could have been. But that is still more than good enough for Brian Kelly and Co. to beat up on a pathetic Northwestern team this year.

As long as Everett Golson doesn’t throw 4 interceptions again and goes back to actually looking like a Heisman trophy candidate, the Irish should have no problem pulling out a victory.

The offense is too skilled, and Pat Fitzgerald’s Northwestern Wildcats offense is too pathetic. In fact, it’s so pathetic that it’ll make Notre Dame look like they can play defense for a brief few minutes. Seriously, check it out.

In all honesty, it’s shocking now how Northwestern ever beat Wisconsin. They are clearly just a bad team.

Notre Dame will jump out with a huge lead early and call of the dogs, allowing Northwestern to make it semi-respectable before the Irish pull away again for a dominant victory. If Iowa can embarrass Northwestern and then get embarrassed by Minnesota, imagine what Notre Dame can do to this team.

Perhaps 41-24 is too generous.
