There is still one final way to make this a very good season, and that is to beat LSU in the final game. Both teams were in the Top 25 to start the year, but the bloodbath of the SEC got the best of them. Now, they have a chance to save their season with this game. And like LSU, Texas A&M will desperately want to win this one.

Texas A&M Aggies 7-4 (3-4)

Last week: Lost to Missouri Tigers 34-27
Last rank: 4

This is probably way too high for a team just coming off a loss at home to another team in the conference, but despite the inconsistencies of Kevin Sumlin’s Texas A&M Aggies, they still have some talent. And a loss at home to a good team is not going to negate what they did to Auburn the week before in a huge win.

The Aggies still don’t have a bad loss on their schedule, and that means something.

Texas A&M’s quarterback situation could still be a question, but Kyle Allen wasn’t bad against Missouri on Saturday. In fact, he was very good and is starting to look better as the season continues on. Allen’s play isn’t the problem. Just like last year, it’s the defense that is the problem. However, the defense does have talent and is slowly improving. Sumlin has recruited well, and over time, it will get much better. They just aren’t there yet.
