Despite the yearlong struggles, this team is almost on its way back to the Promised Land. Well, at least the College Football Playoff. But it first has to get by a good Boston College team and a Florida team with coaching change drama but still some good talent.

At least both are at home. And this is clearly the best team in the ACC.

Florida State Seminoles 10-0 (7-0)

Last week: Defeated Miami Hurricanes 30-26
Last rank: 1

The Florida State Seminoles just keep on winning. It’s like they try to fall behind  just to make things interesting in their journey to come back. That’s our only explanation.

To be fair, the Seminoles actually played a pretty good team in Miami on Saturday. This is a Miami team that is improving, and it had to be expected that they would struggle in that game given that it’s a rivalry, the Hurricanes are at home, and they have improved dramatically with great talent and great coaching.

But once again, the Seminoles prevailed with great talent and coaching of their own. And that talent includes a dominant, playmaking defense that always comes through when needed, multiple superstar running backs, a superstar wide receiver in Rashad Greene, and that superstar quarterback in Jameis Winston who just seems to have an uncanny ability to rally his team.
