Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Virginia Tech Wins 24-10

The Virginia Tech Hokies gained new life after a huge upset win against Duke last week. That put this team one win away from bowl eligibility in this massively up and down season, and now they have a chance to get to that bowl game this weekend against the worst team in the ACC, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. It’s going to happen for them with an easy and ugly win.

Wake Forest is still in transition with that difficult to understand Dave Clawson offense, and it’s not going to do anything against Frank Beamer and Virginia Tech this weekend. The defense will be decent, and Virginia Tech’s offense with Michael Brewer will make some ugly mistakes that makes this an ugly game in general, but in the end Virginia Tech will pull it out fairly comfortably.

And then they’ll be on their way to a bowl game with a 6-5 record and two huge victories on the season over Duke and Ohio State.
