Maryland Terrapins at Michigan Wolverines

Line: Michigan by 5

Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten Prediction: Michigan Wins 27-20

The Michigan Wolverines obviously have some new momentum with the resignation of Athletic Director Dave Brandon, and it should be enough to carry them through the rest of the season, even with Brady Hoke as a lame-duck coach.

If these guys have any sense of pride, then at 5-5 they need to do their absolute best to reach a bowl game. Knowing that Ohio State is the final game of the year and a likely bad loss, their only chance for reaching a bowl is this weekend at home against Maryland.

This is a winnable game. The Terps are well-coached but thin on defense, going through some quarterback issues, and are now without their best weapon at least until the bowl game: Stefon Diggs.

Michigan’s defense should have no trouble stopping them, and then quarterback Devin Gardner and the offense should be able to move the ball on this undermanned Maryland defense.

Yes, we just said Michigan should be able to move the ball on offense, but it’s the truth in this game.

As a result, we’re picking the Wolverines to win this game by a touchdown to just barely get bowl eligible.
